MAFS brides and grooms reveal secrets in their exclusive audition tapes

Before every bride and groom enters the Married At First Sight experiment they're interviewed in an audition format.

While some of the revelations that surfaced were what you'd expect — past relationships, what they want in a partner, etc. — others were more surprising, revealing more about the familiar faces of Married At First Sight than they may have realised.

Stacey's Audition Tape

Stacey wore a Rolex to her interview and quickly revealed her ideal guy was "big" and had "some tattoos."

The bride added that she has been cheated on in the past, but that she's also cheated.

"That was with my ex. It was a 'How dare you do that to me, so I'm going to do that to you'," said Stacey.

Michael's Audition Tape

The controversial groom was quick to describe what his ideal wife would look like in his exclusive audition video.

"Good looking is… I definitely say size six to eight. I've definitely gone the fake boobs, nails. You know, blonde hair, the Gucci handbags," said Michael of his usual type.

But he also gave an insight into what tore apart his previous relationship of four years with the mother of his son. Watch the full clip below.

Cathy's Audition Tape

In the popular bride's interview, she revealed the 'disgusting' reason her past relationship ended. Watch the video below.

Josh's Audition Tape

The groom is known for his relaxed personality and strong family values, but in his audition tape he shared that he had been cheated on in the past. Watch the full clip below for more.

Mishel's Audition Tape

The glamorous bride dressed to impress for her interview, and kicked off the interview with a cheeky lie about her age. She spoke of the breakdown of her previous marriage before dropping a sexuality bombshell. Watch the full clip below.

In Steve's full audition tape, the groom admitted his ex-fiancée, who went on to win MasterChef Australia after they split, was 19 years younger than him. Watch the full clip below for more details of their romance.

Jonethen's Audition Tape

Arguably the most laid back of all the Married At First Sight grooms, Jonethen admitted he's found it difficult to date due to being a FIFO (Fly In Fly Out) worker.

"My last relationship was basically over before it could start. When you're just starting to meet someone, if you constantly put things on hold, it doesn't work." Watch the clip below to gain more of an insight into Jonethen's life before MAFS.

Connie's Audition Tape

Connie has found strength and confidence in the experiment, but in her audition tape the bride revealed that she struggled with being single.

"Seeing how everyone else around me and my age is engaged or having families or getting married, and if they're not, they're in long term relationships, and I don't have that... I do get a bit envious of seeing that," she explained. Watch her full audition tape below.
